Marqi cloud began as an initiative to allow businesses and developers to grow into a hybrid setup. We have seen many data centers that cater to customers that can rent space and racks. We have also seen many data centers that host VPS’s. We wanted a way to have both with transparent costs that are known.
We started our build, in which we call ZONE1, in Alpharetta, Georgia at a current Data center we own. This allows us to custom build the data center as we grow. The data center has plenty of rack space and flooring to keep growing horizontally.
All hardware that power the hosts are all multi-core, TB’s of RAM, and multi-NIC, meaning each host that supply the compute power are fully redundant and multiple paths upstream to the network fabric. Our network fabric is redundant within the data center as well as upstream to the public internet using only tier1 providers.
Our storage system provides block storage to each VM. The storage cluster can scale into the exabytes and data is replicated three times across multi-node setup. Each data center (ZONE) has its own storage cluster to keep low latency/high IOPS operations. Users can take volume snapshots to migrate that volume between zones if necessary.
